about the "Mann" Coulter jokes

Look, I hate Ann Coulter like every liberal should. I am against the Death Penalty, but I have to confess if she were executed in some Maoist style fracas, I would NOT shed a tear. I would oppose her being made a martyr, but if there is a Hell, I would expect her THERE.

That being said, we do not need to slam the LGBT to get at her.

Ann is not worth of being called a woman, as she has no compassionate, maternal instincts.

She is not worthy of being a Man, as she lacks the courage to actually fight real opponents face to face.

Let us not insult any gender by insulting her, she is, at best, an "IT."

No one in any gender, or definition or subcategory thereof, should have to be compared to her. There are many Drag Queens that look better than Ann any day of the week, and many leather wearing "Drag Kings" that can act more like a man than any Fox news pundit!

I appreciate what I think you are trying to do here... if it is transphobia that you are trying to address, might I suggest that calling Coulter "it" is also highly transphobic and is not actually an improvement?

The only appropriate way to use gender pronouns is to use the pronouns that the person in question prefers. Coulter identifies as a woman so the correct gender pronoun is "she".

1) in order to be a woman, one must be compassionate and maternal.

2) in order to be a man one must be courageous and willing to face an opponent face to face.

Neither one of these are universal truths and are indeed stereotypes of what it means to be a woman or man.

This is a good thread (although you goofed by calling her "It&quot .

Remember when right wingers used to attack Janet Reno for having masculine traits? That was awful too.

Here's another thing... I don't like it when people criticize Chris Christie's weight, either. (I also hate it when the right wing goes after Michael Moore's weight. Lets not stoop to their level.) Democrats are the big-tent party, and we shouldn't alienate people who share our values, by using careless insults.

Lets just go after the important stuff... the conservatives' wrong-headed ideas on the issues.

Also, I would just as soon see any criticism of Coulter leave her sex out of it. Her being a woman has nothing to do with her idiotic views (other than ironically). Sexist remarks just debase the discourse.

People here got mad when Gov. Cristie was teased about being overweight. Let's leave those type of remarks for the Reds. I don't think Ann Coulter is ugly for her age, but she's still a pathological liar along with her GOP brethren. They're the ones with the shitty policies that are at odds with the economic interests of 99% of Americans, so there's plenty to attack them on in that regard.

A fierce advocate for the transgendered community who will be greatly missed.

She set everybody straight (pun intended) on the way it works. If someone wants to present themselves as female then you should respect that.

Maddie called in to the Malloy show semi regularly. Her characters included Smegol/Gollum from LOTR and Dubya.

Professionally, she did the voice of Meowth on the Pokemon cartoons.

Which made this even funnier:

Her death was sudden and a tragedy to fans of the show:
