Today's Gallup - 50 Obama to 45 Romney

http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx

They appear to have shifted to a 3 day moving average - so this is Friday through Sunday

This is definitely NOT what I expected to see when I went to Gallup!! This is fantastic and may restore some of my faith that people actually do not think lying is cool.

15. Different time periods
Mon Oct 8, 2012, 01:27 PM
Oct 2012

This includes the days October 5, 6, and 7. It may be that Romney had great numbers on October 4 and possibly the 5th - and then the jobs numbers and the fact that Romney was lying may have really moved things back to where they were.

The 7 day must have included a big bump - that then dissipated - likely on the 4th.

They made one press release saying what the three days after the debate looked like, and RCP decided to treat that as a completely separate poll so they could juice Romney's numbers in their average, but the tracking poll is still the 7 day average.

The three good days he had post-debate will weight the average down a little longer then fall off. That we're at +5 with them still on there is *really* good.

You can almost tell that the undecideds want to vote for Obama, they're just waiting for him to give them a reason. So Obama, give the people a reason! Show them you want to be their (our) president another four years, and you've got it!
