First of all - let me just say that I was a Hillary supporter. That's all I have to say about that!
Second of all - I just rewatched the Biden v Palin debate. Holy Cow... that Biden is quite the debater. When Palin lied, he corrected her. On one instance Palin said Obama voted against the troops. Not only did he correct her - he did it on 3 separate times. And that was Joe being restrained because they didn't want Joe to come across as a jerk against that poor, defenseless woman . There is a clip of Joe from over the weekend saying he is readying for the debate by studying Paul Ryan's budget.
I expect a Biden tell-all of what's in that budget. And I expect a shift back to Obama after Thursday.
Third of all there is that arithmetic -

Electoral ~ Obama 307.6 v Mitwit 230.4
Chance of winning? Obama - 78.4%

(1,712 posts)LaLaLaLaLaLa! Let's not listen to anything other than reassurance! Let's not listen to anything that makes us worry!
It's a long time until election day, and the trend is downward. That's something to worry about. It's not all about the debate, but that's certainly a factor. Will Obama and Biden pull it out of the fire and cruise into a landslide? Maybe. Will they do it unless the worry a whole lot and play the game harder than ever? Nope. They'll lose.

BUT - to hear the pundits go on about how Obama supporters are not fired up, and Mitt's are - is bs and spin.

(9,774 posts)one thing I don't get is that if a Dem presidential candidate poll numbers are going bad we can't discuss that reality without being called names and made fun of. I thought DU was about facts and the reality of things. Polls are trending in Romney's direction right now and it makes a lot of us worry. ELECTIONS MATTER!

(10,602 posts)The real GOP and Romney policies are so bad that there should be a 15 point lead. The problem is that too many voters have no idea about their true agenda. They keep their policies vague and contradictory. In our local races the GOP candidates are hiding under the rocks and you barely see them. Their lit is all racist, distortion and hate. And they put on ads that are complete fabrications.
Only an informed public can put the "lie about everything" strategy to rest. And when you have an MSM that really is very RW, then it is hard to correct all the blather coming from the other side. Two or three word memes do not combat a lie very well.

(982 posts)The 1%ers media and many 'lefties' rushed to say he lost but ...whatever... Romney lied, cheated and still had absolutely nothing substantial to say except that he would cut PBS to fix the budget. It was so fucking stupid and I am in disbelief of people attacking Obama for his performance.
It it weren't for the 1%ers media lying and manufacturing consent, no one would think Obama lost.
They are preparing to steal the election and I am afraid everyone here thinks we need to just get out the vote, and no one else is going to do anything, if the truth comes out the media will lie, put James Baker on to catapult the propaganda and we are screwed. Look what they did when they stole the election for Bush!

Frankly, I haven't seen posts by anyone who found the debate troublesome in DAYS.
Just DUers calling us all bedwetters over and over and over.
It seems everyone has to start a whole new thread just for that.
Have fun.
