Sadly most Americans probably think "Taino" is a character in a popular anime series or something.

(Granted, that may actually be true, but.. .you know what I mean)

If you're going to own anything of value, you better be prepared for someone else to try to take it away from you, especially if they're hungry or greedy. Hell, people kill each other over conflicting myths.

When we get civilized, then no one will be in need without the fortunate taking care of their needs and people who disagree, especially about myths, will be able to come to an amicable understanding.

I don't know enough about what went on here, say from 1500 BC to 1500 CE, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that indigenous people killed each other then, as well. We somehow have the well-intentioned, PC idea that Europeans came here and interrupted Eden.

People kill each other and then our brains make something out of it that it's not, unlike animals, which we are.

That is how we can go into a country like Iraq and start killing people for their oil.. I see almost no difference between our attitude toward the American Indians and the Iraqi people..Kill them and take their stuff...It's the American way...
