I unfortunately was driving so I didn't get to take a picture but it said "Tell Barack I'm Baroke".
The car? If you guessed a current model Lexus LS you're correct.
Someone needs to tell this driver he fails.

(16,399 posts)....pretty ballsy.
However, I will say that I work next to an office that handles mortgage modification for people who are past due on their homes....a good number of people pulling up in nice cars. BMW's and such. Don't know what to make of that.

(15,882 posts)companies, rating agencies, and investment banks were engaged in a massive fraud. Like the Welfare-Cadillac drivers down at the food stamp office, just out to take advantage....
Probably had nothing to do with the net 4 1/2 million or so jobs we are down from 2008, or black folk being charged higher interest than a white couple all other things being equal, or investment companies completely ignoring their underwriting in search of fees when they knew the loans would be shit, or the policy of the government of letting home values fall and homeowners be foreclosed on while supporting the asset-backed securities of the wealthy (such as the current open-ended $40 Billion/Month) because that's so great for the rest of us.
While it's true that for some the interest rate is what eventually eroded their ability to pay, that makes it sound like there wasn't a whole industry stealing from and finally destroying millions of lives and damaging our economy so bad it may be decades before the increase in the working poor and those in poverty ease or even decrease.
Just sayin...

(15,682 posts)(in Orange County) has been that Lexus drivers tend to be people who over borrow trying to look like they are rich and living life in the OC. Of course they're broke. They were already broke 8 year ago but didn't realize that one day they would actually have to start paying off their loans instead of relying on more borrowed money.

(26,330 posts)It was on Chicago's north side. I actually tried to follow the truck just to see what kind of idiot was driving it. I got caught by a light though.

(32,086 posts)Her bumper sticker said, "Poverty is owning a horse." That was slapped on the back bumper of her BMW 5-series. Poor thing.
