1. And here's why I care little for Big Bird in this debate. . .

The issue shouldn't be so much that Romney wants to "do away with Big Bird," but that he believes trimming a "nothing" item from the budget will make a wit's bit of difference in the whole scheme of things.

That he desires to strip away from children and parents -- indeed from all of us -- an exceptionally useful part of our lives speaks volumes to how little he understands the American people. That he believes this will in any measure impact our current financial struggles speaks volumes to how little he understands the budgetary process.

I am not sure you really want to copy a US bill, it used to be a crime to do so I could be wrong & I hope that I am. If it is still a crime then you might want to be careful. Just thought I would share.

the stamp is a great idea even if the feds want to stop you for mucking with their money. It is still a great way to spread the message. I just do not want anybody to get hurt. Maybe a lawyer here might know what is legal in regards to marking U.S. Bills?

Defacement of Currency

Defacement of currency is a violation of Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code. Under this provision, currency defacement is generally defined as follows: Whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, Federal Reserve Bank, or Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such item(s) unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

Defacement of currency in such a way that it is made unfit for circulation comes under the jurisdiction of the United States Secret Service. The United States Secret Service web address is www.secretservice.gov.

It's the intent to make it "unfit" to use that causes trouble.

Stamp onto money URLs to sites that contain the facts about the economy, global warming, Obama's record, the facts about so-called vote fraud, and any number of other issues.
