WHAT Romney pivoted to in the debate when disavowing his $5 trillion tax cut position that he has held through this entire campaign?

Because my belief is the Obama campaign needs to move beyond criticizing Romney for backing away from previous positions (although some time spent characterizing him as a flip flopper would be beneficial), and pin him down on just what his position on balancing the budget, rescuing the economy is, right now? I don't recall Romney substituting an actual proposal for that which he denied at the debate.

Likewise, other positions he is flip flopping on. Obama needs to pin down his positions and move forward criticizing and distinguishing himself as to those.

I think Obama should have been prepared for this at Wednesday's debate. Be that as it may, I'm confident about the future!
