Hitler 2.0 will make the original look like an amateur...

If such a figure arises out of Greece, where "Golden Dawn" (neo-nazi political party) is being utilized as a police force in Athens - like the Nazis were in Germany during Hitler's rise - I fear, if such an individual arises, this person will be much, much worse than Hitler ever was...

Seems our capacity for atrocity has only increased with time...and since Bush made torture deniably acceptable...well...

1. Jorg Haider of Austria was the new neo-nazi. But he went too fast on autobahn after election

Google Jorg and marvel at who he looks like.

But he does look like him...minus the childish smile/smirk...this guy looks like if he actually were to smile, he'd break his neck...and what's with that friggin' tie?

2. It was the fact that Germany was able to invade and occupy so many countries that enabled Hitler

to murder six million Jews.

No disrespect intended to the formidable military might of Greece, but it's hard to imagine that country taking over Europe to the same extent that Germany did. This would seem to limit any atrocities that a future Greek leader could perpetrate.

4. Germany did not have much of a military when Hitler appeared, nor many prospects for one

Their military had been stripped bare fromWW1 and the Treaty of Versailles...and their economy precluded building one until the Nazi's took over...

5. So you're concerned about Greece building up an enormous military capacity,

following the election of a far-right leader, then invading several European countries and perpetrating Hitler-style atrocities on their populations. I guess it's something to bear in mind.

But I can see a scenario where a resurgent NeoNazi political movement sweeps through the EU...

And why discount such a possibility as completely unlikely? Hitler's rise to power was itself very unlikely - no one had ever seen such a thing in modern times. German citizens were unable to believe Hitler's terrible crimes were actually occurring, even as they saw it unfolding all around them.

History is comprised of the most unlikely of circumstances...and has a tendancy to repeat in grusome ways...

and that while freak like Ron Paul never really got too far (and for all intent and purpose
except to his rabid fans was a complete fraud and failure because he never actually did anything or got any bills passed, sounds like he inhales helium balloon gas, and all,
his much more charismatic heir (lookalike to the above Jorg Haider as if they were clones, google some other pictures of him)

already has gone further, and indeed was seriously considered in the media as a possible vp choice but wants to go much, much further than only a vp

and his extremist rightwing fans in the republicanlibertarianteaparty who want to go back to 1855 and have only that times "master race" have voting rights well...

(not to mention how Ron Paul always had the backing of David Duke and the other John Birch Society type of racist groups.

all with hatred in their (well they have no) heart or soul.

Could lightning strike twice? I am not worried about Greece. Not big enough.
but we all see the hatred here, it is too close for comfort

(and please note- I am Jewish and had relatives directly affected by the Holacaust, including my mom, who still followed Austria news, and who directly was quite concerned a few years back when Haider won office and seemingly was going to go much higher in Austria, when on the night after he won, he was in what appears to be a solo car crash on the autobahn drunk after celebrating and driving over 120 miles per hour.
And interestingly enough, it was just a car crash. Nothing more. Nothing less.

But who knows how far he would have gone, and would he become an unstoppable world leader on the bad side of things had he not died in that crash? (and this is again, only a few years ago, not long ago past).

I'm sorry, but that scenario is unlikely. Greece? Highly doubtful. How exactly would a figure arising out of Greece make Hitler look like a piker? What steps would such a figure take? Who would they invade? How would they build a formidable military?
