just for shits and giggles and drama I'm supposing. If he were a serious 'whatchamacallit journalist' wouldn't he want proof from this joker about his claims before commiting to have him hem and ha on his show and say that he's got a hunch, yeh, I got a hunch those numbers are false.

Am I the only one that is taken aback by this? chris KNEW this guy had no proof, all bullshit, and yet still had him on the show just to get some excitement up - for that reason alone. That is shoddy if you ask me. There are plenty of good people with real stories to invite instead of this lieing gasbag.

3. He does this occasionally and I believe for the sole purpose of giving nutjobs

a podium at which to make total fools of themselves. e.g., Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachman, Tom DeLay, Riense Pienus, Joe Walsh et al. Notice that he always lets them do most of the talking with few (or certainly much less than usual) interruptions. He's masterful.

I was listening to an older Jewish woman kevetching about something.

I'm not kidding.

Before any take offense, I am Jewish and my immigrant grandma was one of many, many elderly Jewish ladies I have known throughout the years.

When did Jack Welsh turn into an elderly Jewish woman? Not even Jon Stewart can put on "the voice" that well.

5. His voice does seem odd

I checked the NBC site to see if the sound was correct. It sounds to me like Welch has some sort of cancer of the throat (this is just speculation of course).
