Who would have thought? THE talking point coming out of the debate is BIG BIRD.

I don't think anyone saw THAT coming. Least of all that idiot Romney. Everyone on Facebook and twitter are talking about it.

All Mitt's lies and promises and shouting and PBS might be the thing that sinks him.

Oh Mitt... even when you "win", you lose.

Fund drive week. And the listeners were all mentioning Big Bird when they made their pledges. I thought Romney looked a little deranged during the debate but I knew when he said that to Jim Lehrer and specifically mentioned Big Bird he was in trouble. I just had no idea how passionate people are about Sesame Street. If he had mentioned Elmo there would have been torches and pitchforks. Kinda proud that Americans feel so strongly about their public radio and tv. Good for us.

It is a great visual.

And every time the Repuglicans have brought this up, it has bitten them back.

You would think that they would be smart enough to see this coming.
But they just aren't that deep.

Does anyone really remember the details of that mundane, dull debate?

Saying that you want to fire Big Bird is like punching Mr. Roger's in the face, you just don't do it.

I knew when he said "Big Bird" and gave that statement a visual of an icon everyone loves, he was screwn (and since I work at PBS, I'm pretty happy he shot himself in the foot on that one).

they would have seen it coming.

Seriously, did Ann and Myth Romney not stand in those lines and deal with the mania over Laughing Elmo?

They surely had kids young enough for that debacle, or grandkids.

I was in those lines, because Laughing Elmo was at the top of my daughter's Christmas List that year.

of it. Was it Stu Stevens who let the Angry Chair do all the talking? The one who forgot to thank the Troops in the acceptance speech?
