or at least "talking down the economy" for political reasons. I wonder when they're going to get called out for that?

RW talking heads will claim Mitt won. Dem talking heads will list his top 3-5 lies. There was no Obama gaffe for the RW talking heads to grab onto.

The 7.8 number will persist. Mitt can't scream that Obama promised to get UE under 8% (which is also a lie, Obama never said that), now that UE is under 7.8%.

Notable BLS reports are always treated as BIG news for days.

Plus they'll spend some extra time on it to debunk the truthers. Hopefully the debunking will delve into other recent, positive economic reports (confidence, consumer sales, U.S. auto sales) and why they all point to a consistent picture.
