The Good Jobs Myth

The whole GOP mantra coming from Romney is just a myth at best and a complete bald face lie at worst. And it is an oxymoron in the now Reagan "service economy". When Reagan came out with his "service economy" talking point in 1981 it was very clear back then that we would have a low wage economy with few benefits.

Look around and that is the kind of economy that we mostly have today. And Obama does NOT have control of that kind of employment situation. And the reason is that the US Chamber of Commerce is committed to a low wage model. And they are saying by their rhetoric and actions that they are committed to keep wages below $12 and hour in a 21st century economy. And that includes the cost of benefits and health care.

What is problematic is that you have GOP operatives and candidates trashing Europeans because they have traditionally had better job protections and unions than the US has had recently. Europe's problems are no accident and their troubles were created by conservative ideas pushed by American business people.

When Romney says that we will become like Europe if we elect Obama, that is what HE will do if elected, because HE will downgrade jobs here or send them overseas under the guise of freedom and competition. And the jobs he cannot downgrade will be sent overseas.

Americans who vote for him and the GOP are a bunch of ignorant buffoons. We will never be able to reduce our deficit on low paying jobs for most workers because it will result in low tax revenues.

The fact that so many Americans must get food stamps points to the failure of Romney GOP capitalism. Business is holding trillions of dollars overseas and making money on it by the interest they make tax free. So why would American business care to invest in the US?

US CEO's are laughing their asses off while low paid workers fight each other over pennies. Yet business and banks are escaping the criticism and THEY ARE THE REAL CULPRITS IN THIS PHONY DEBATE.
