Has anyone seen the Atlas Shrugged trailer?

Releases Oct. 13. Looks terrible, based on Ayn Rand of course. The trailer looked sloppy and thrown together, like it was a joke. I wonder how many baggers will line up like it fucking Star Wars.

14. If she'd thrown it together it would have been much more understandable...

...and much of it more easily excused.

No, she spent years crafting it. It's exactly what she wanted it to be.

Which speaks volumes (and if there's one thing Rand did big, it's volumes).

Revolutions are started by people without work, not people who have a job.

They'll bitch about labor unions but "going John Galt" is the same concept.

And really?
One person is so holy important that they bring the world to a standstill?

Oh, please.
There's no a single person on this planet that could do that.
Even if Obama disappeared tomorrow, or Bill Gates or Putin... the Machine would hardly miss a beat.

First of all it's a shit book.
Second of all it's fucking massive.
Third of all, a good chunk of it is dedicated to a monologue of epic proportions, something that is doubtful to translate well to cinema.

On the upside, it looks like it's pretty low-budget, and the cast looks like strictly C-list and below.
I smell a bomb. Of course, when it does, the rabid Randians will denounce the Marxist conspiracy to keep the movie suppressed, no doubt.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

The only rational thing about Rand is the one thing her dbag followers choose to forget about.

Gonna be huge! Bigger than the Avengers.

The trailers pretty much get all the buzz words in there so idiot tea baggers will line up for it.

I can't believe somebody thought making this tripe into a movie was a great idea. Let alone dragging it out into 2 movies.

I'm looking forward to Seven Psychopaths and Argon. And Bond, James Bond.

16. This is Part II, correct? Which manages to be both a continuation AND a reboot?
