From the GOP spokesblob's show today:
RUSH: Well, depends on what the final week polls are. If the final week poll has Obama winning by ten in Ohio and Romney wins it, you got riots. If the polls tighten and they get real close, then I don't -- it was a legitimate question somebody asked because these people, if they're told, these rabid leftists, if they are told this a slam dunk and it's over, and Romney wins this thing, it could get bloody out there. But if the polls are tight in the last week, then I think there's less likelihood of any kind of violent reaction.
Funny, in a classic case of projection, Rush must have missed these nuggets from his own anti-american party:
Virginia Republicans: 'Armed revolution' necessary if Obama reelected
In the March 2012 edition of a newsletter put out by the Republican Party of Greene County, an editorial calls for an 'armed revolution' if President Barack Obama wins reelection this November.

Secession Gaining Traction in GOP?
Last summer, Medina headlined a pro-secession rally at the Texas capitol, where she told the assembled crowd: "We are aware that stepping off into secession may, in fact, be a bloody war. We are aware. We understand that the tree of freedom is occasionally watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots."

In fact, hating the country and tossing out treasonous rhetoric after losing the election is just standard fare for the GOP - remember this one from a mere three months after president Obama took office?
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"

It's the nature of conservatives - if they don't get their way, they throw a fit and start calling for secession. They've done it time and time again.
Yet Limbaugh can't offer a single example of any instance on the left to back up his batshit crazy fear-mongering and race-baiting.

(234 posts)I've often thought that all of us liberals ought to have a place to call our own and let these other jackasses run their (seceded) country into the ground as they're trying to do with ours. Not worth fighting for this time. They can have their xenophobia and ignorance and creationism and shoot each other to death with handguns for all I care.

So yes, we have had these talks... in all seriousness... the talk will become reality sooner or later.
