Non Specific Deity, Save me.

I've literally come across on of those "keep yer gubmint mitts off our schools" people on HuffPo. Get this… From a retired POSTMASTER, yet. You have got to see this.

Here's the exchange: First the link to the article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/04/mitt-romney-inaccuracies-_n_1939337.html

First, my apparent troll bait:

This article on HuffPo correctly asserts that Romney lied - Big time. Other articles state that he "won" the debate.

What does this mean, that the truth is inconsequential? That the voters WANT to be lied to?

Or, does this mean that the chattering punditry was going to hand the debate to Romney anyway, in spite of knowing full well that he lied every time he opened his mouth, in order to make a horse race out of a hopelessly lopsided election for the sake of their business model?

Please, stop "trickling down" on us and telling us that it's raining.

And as it always happens, some low information person has to chime in to demonstrate how ignorant they are:

No, it means O got his butt handed to him.

Really? Let's check this one out. So I replied with this:

So, you're asserting that the only way that Romney could have won is by lying.

Do you actually like being lied to?

Let's face facts, shall we? Romney is nothing more than a ham sandwich to you. All you want is for someone, anyone to replace President Obama and you're even willing to vote for a mendacious snake oil salesman to get the job done.

Am I correct?

Like clockwork, the hilarity begins:

Nope, you're not correct. I don't believe Romney was lying. I don't want someone, anyone to replace Obama, I wanted him to do his job and he has failed. I expect people to work for a living, not get on the government dole. I don't want govt controlling private businesses, running the schools, controlling healthcare. When has the govt ever got anything right? Forget your political affliation for a moment and take a good look at Obama. I can say I have voted for a democratic president, Bill Clinton, but Obama, in my opinion, just isn't getting the job done. You can't continue to blame Bush. If re-elected, who will Obama blame for these past 4 years?

Get this, that was written in the comment section of an article which gave a detailed account of Romney's lies. I have no idea where the rest of that stuff came from. Needless to say I was incredulous and had to say as much:

I have a hard time trying to figure out whether you're joking or not.

You don't want the government controlling schools?

You think that government should have nothing to do with business?

You think that retirees on Social Security are on "the dole?"

And you don't think that Romney wasn't lying? He did nothing BUT lie.

Look, if you want promote an incompetent patrician who has utter contempt for the 47% of Americans to run the country… Good luck with that.

"Government never gets anything right"… Dude, you're funny.

Now, to my own lack of info, I called the other poster "dude". Postmaster23 is a woman. My bad. However, that didn't stop her from rolling the crazy chop-choo along:

Hey, are you reading what I'm typing? I didn't say anything about ss, people on ss worked for that, period. I'm talking the 2nd and 3rd generation welfare/food stamp recipients. Certainly people who have lost their jobs need help, but the goal should be to get off of welfare, not carry it into the next generation. I'm, talking about the federal govt wanting to control healthcare, schools, etc. The states need to have some autonomy without the fed govt controlling it. And I do not want the fed govt controlling my life. I've never had a poor person give me a job. Like it or not, this country depends on big business for jobs. Romney does not have utter contempt for 47% of Americans. That comment has taken on a life of it's own. He said, the 47% of Americans that don't pay taxes vote for Obama so he was not going to be able to change their mind.' That is not a derogatory statement by anyone's stretch of the imagination. BTW, dude, I am a female, retired Postmaster. (: nice talking to you.

Wow! The Federal Government is in control of everything, including her and some rich white guy is going o come along to save the day.

I couldn't let it go, of course:

I'm a retired USAF NCO, lady. And I still don't know what planet you're on. The Federal government doesn't control everything and you know it.

The government has the power to tax and regulate private enterprise to protect you and me. It's always been that way and nothing has changed in this country.

In case you didn't know this, but that 47% that Romney was talking about who wasn't paying payroll taxes… He was talking about retirees like US! That's right, you and me.

And really, 2nd and 3rd generation welfare recipients… What are you, stuck in the 80's? You are aware that ADC was abolished and the welfare to work requirements were created, making public assistance TEMPORARY back in the 90's under Clinton, right? Look up the "Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act", if you don't believe me.

For a retired postmaster, you really have lot to understand how things are run in this country.

I figure that she's been listening to too many tea baggers, or is one her damn self. Racist dog whistles, anybody…
Did you read that in her posts as well?

I usually don't get involved in the long exchanges due to my worry about wanting to bash my head into a wall

when the idiotspeech starts.

You get at least three thumbs up for going there.
