Hey DUers. Just wondering if anyone else is having problems connecting with Gmail or Google.

I've not been able to check my mail for a couple of hours now, and I can't google anything! All other websites are working fine. Just wondering if this is something regional, local... or just me.

Thanks.

Heh. Nope, I work from home, so I'd have to firewall myself. Chorophyll Oct 2012 #7

Did you try using a different browser? I occasionally have that issue in Chrome but not Firefox.

OpenDNS is very reliable, and has solved 99% of my connectivity issues.

It's free.

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

These two IP's are what you need to put in.

Instructions for Windows users

Go to Control Panel>Network Connections and select your local network.
Click Properties, then select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Click Properties.

You will see a window like the one below - this is the Internet Protocol window. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the desired DNS server(s) in the space(s) provided.

Linux users: You should have figured out where to put your DNS server by now already! (/etc/hosts)

For now, my only issues are with Google, so I think I'll wait and see before I change anything, but I appreciate this! Bookmarked.
