Did President Obama extend the 9/11 Nationa Emergency or let it terminate in Sept?

I believe that the National Emergency initiated by George Bush, the special son, in 2001 was to terminate in Sept 2012 unless extended by President Barack Obama. Havent been successful searching for an update on this.

Here is a link to last years extension:

The United States has been in a state of national emergency continuously since September 14, 2001, when the Bush administration invoked it premised on the September 11 attacks. In September 2011, President Barack Obama informed Congress that the State of National Emergency in effect since September 14, 2001, will be extended another year. The National Emergencies Act grants various powers to the president during times of emergency, and was intended to prevent a president from declaring a state of emergency of indefinite duration.

If a Democratic president doesn't renew it, they will say he's fumbled our national security.

the National Security State to the point where this sort of thing is more or less automatic. It would have been a surprise if he had not renewed the mandate.

10. If you mean that it's a given that he would extend it, I certainly understand. Just seems unusual

concerning the developement of our vast national security apparatus, and almost none that has reached the public. I agree, it's a damned important issue; one that our masters really don't want to talk about.

She said that it was quietly renewed for another year by the Administration.

And she wondered why this had happened and questioned the definition of the word "emergency" as it's used in the directive.

I am naive if I think it makes a difference. The overlords are in charge regardless what the Constitution says.
