They have closed off Bascom Hill, the central part of campus, and set up a stage half-way down so it takes up some important real-estate.

It is just down the stage from a nice statue of Abe Lincoln and looks directly the other way down State Street a mile to the beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol building.
