Please help me understand.

I slept on it yet I still can't wrap my head around it.
Mitt will lower taxes but cut loopholes and deductions, therefore not endangering revenue.
Today:
I have 10 dollars, owe 2 in taxes but have a 1 dollar deduction. The government gets 1 dollar from me. I am over taxed.
The day Mitt changes the rules:
I have 10 dollars, owe 1 in taxes but have no deductions. The government gets 1 dollar from me. I have tax relief.
Whoop-Dee-Shit. Somehow the government still gets 1 dollar from me. What has changed?
The only person that could possibly benefit is the person that presently has no deductions. Yet Mitt doesn't explain "how" revenue will remain the same.
Magical underwear = Magical math?
The answer; coming up in the next segment or maybe in replies.
