http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2012/10/03/kitchenaid-apologizing-after-tweeting-joke-about-presidents-dead-mother/St. Joseph, Mich. (CBS13) Twitter users received a sour tweet Wednesday night after KitchenAid posted a crude remark poking fun at President Barack Obamas late grandmother.
It was a joke in bad taste on the companys Twitter account, @KitchenAidUSA. The appliance manufacturer tweeted, Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! She died 3 days b4 he became president.

Hello, everyone. My name is Cynthia Soledad, and I am the head of the KitchenAid brand.
I would like to personally apologize to President @BarackObama, his family and everyone on Twitter for the offensive tweet sent earlier.
That said, I take full responsibility for my team. Thank you for hearing me out. It was carelessly sent in error by a member of our Twitter team who, needless to say, wont be tweeting for us anymore.
(end snip)
So, the person who jokes about a grandmother's death can still represent your company, just not be able to tweet anymore??? NOT GOOD ENOUGH. And, an apology just to those on twitter??? NOT GOOD ENOUGH. One word, accountability. Another one word, responsibility. I don't care whose grandmother it was. Third one word, disappointment.

How dumb do you have to be to think the kitchen appliance company you work for wants to look like anything but neutral politically.
