(452 posts)I think the next step in this is to see T-shirt creations. Lets take this to the street people. Get those t-shirts out there and maybe BUMPER STICKERS. Be sure to put a Save Big Bird Bumper sticker on your car.

(16,987 posts)...never mind that it's the rural areas who rely most heavily on the funding for public broadcasting -- which is modest, to say the least (The estimate I see is a buck and change for every person in the U.S. per year).
Romney always, always says that he looks at these programs he wants to cut (e.g., the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Legal Services, Amtrak, the NEH and NEA) and says if it isn't worth borrowing from China to pay for, he'll cut it.
To which I'd say: The $1.50 or so per person for the CPB is not the reason we're in debt and deficit.
To which I'd say: Not worth it for the people who rely on those programs, or not worth it for a guy who could buy a museum, let alone a subscription to the opera, with his personal wealth?
So hit back, hard, against this soulless, selfish adorer of Mammon.
