I keep wondering how Bill Clinton would have handled Romney.

I think Clinton would have been low-key during most of the debate, just as Obama was, with some humor and good nature. But Clinton has a habit of bearing down on an important point that makes an impression. He presses his lips together, squints his eyes, holds up his thumb, and makes a very very strong point with it. Very strong.

Obama might do well to use the narrowed eyes and thumb on occasion.

Everybody like winners, so it's not surprising to see people bashing Obama to praise Clinton, or bashing Kerry to praise Obama or Clinton and Gore for that matter (he did "win&quot .

IGI now. Only the Dem's that "win" and make red meat speeches should be considered as debate coaches, surrogates and are fighters, those that didn't are thrown under the bus and seen as "losers" or "big mistakes" and so on.

It would not have come across as bullying or inappropriate, but would have given Clinton the opportunity to "question" what had just been asserted and then launch into his own view. He surely would have called Rmoney on the most egregious things, but not with anger.

It was a reaction to the lies. Just more subtle. At one point he was softly shaking his head.
