Big Bird just happens to be one of the most effective government employees we have ever had.

War story follows: Sesame Street is sold overseas in many languages. In Germany it is Sesamstrasse. When I got a new German linguist fresh from the schoolhouse I ordered that person to watch Sesamstrasse five days a week and log it as language maintenance. The colonel couldn't figure out why my people were progressing faster than everyone else's until I told her I had them watching Sesame Street in German. It was funny until she watched Sesamstrasse herself. Big Bird: good for kids, good for the troops.
