Romney's failure of the debate: he still hasn't defined himself
Romney only clouded who he is and what he stands for by walking away from things he's said even over the last few days before the debate. He has had a tax plan that is a $5 Trillion cut and will raise taxes on nthe middle class. Tonight he said he wouldn't do that.
Even in his own words in the debate, he said he would repeal Obamacare but he will preserve insurance for those with pre-existing conditions. How? That question, raised by Obama, went unanswered.
Romney at times spoke standard conservative memes and then said complete opposite statements. For example, he said he would not raise revenue, and yet somehow magically will cover his $5 Trillion tax plan by closing tax loopholes (thereby raising revenue).
He said he would not cut Medicare, but then said he would hand over its funding to the states.
Not one stance or statement he made redefined who he is or how the Obama Campaign has called him out to be: someone who will say anything and everything to anyone and everyone just to be president.
Romney needed to define himself. He failed to do so.
