Mitt wasn't Mitt tonight. He morphed. It took Obama off his balance.

and yeah, Obama should watch MSNBC....

Factually, he was absolutely the sane choice. But there were so many opportunities to slash through Rmoney's bullshit that he didn't take.

Obama was way off his game tonight and didn't counter most of rMoney's lies.

MR controlled this debate.

Assuming that "Tweety" is Chris Matthews. I really hate snarky nicknames -- I can't keep up with
the players without a scorecard and they always make me think the conversation is falling to the
level of the "master-in-his-own-mind" of those... Michael Savage.

... even worse, their OWN nicknames are a real PITA (pain-in-the-ass... just so you don't
think I'm calling them Middle-Eastern bread equivalents ).

Many years ago, I used to listen to Michael Savage to keep track of the fringe loonies and
he was so self-impressed with his so-called "clever" nicknames that a paragraph of his
script might contain as many as a dozen of them -- and I would have no clue (but for one
or two) who the hell he was talking about. He also appeals to the lowest of the lowest-
common-denominators... so that practice always hints to me of the same sort of level...
no matter who's using it.

he and Ed are right. Obama was too subdued, Romney was on fire.

The problem is that debates aren't just about facts, it's also about appearances. Sad but true. Most people don't follow details. So when complex issues with numbers are discussed, how are they supposed to know who's telling lies? During the 90 minutes, they were just trying to keep up with the discussions.

Al's talking right now ... Romney presented articulate lies. Love that Rev!

I'm not worried, tho'. Obama knows he could have done better. He's not going to make the same mistake again. And don't use John Kerry for practice debates, use Chris Matthews!
