Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsRush Limbaugh is in full racist rant this morning.
The racism is so thick it is sickening. He is playing the old soundbites of Reverend Wright to go with the Hampton University speech the right-wing machine brought out today. He has all his soundbites in order and is accusing Obama of racism as he spews the same racism out by the tons. This is the most obvious he has ever been. He is holding back nothing. He is provoking anger and hatred that is very dangerous.
* I know no liberals should be listening to this stuff but that doesn't make it go away.

(326 posts)...Not to compare him to Goebbels, because Goebbels believed in what he spouted, but how many propagandists have changed the thinking of so many sheeplets in one country? This also brings up the age-old question, who is more dangerous: the politician or propagandist who believes in what he says, or the ones that don't and are in it for the fame, power, and money?

(13,468 posts)I heard CNN going with this crap at lunch, though pretending to actually be "journalists" and admit it was old news. Oh but those references to Reverend Wright are sooooooooo damning to the President!!!! (Please)
Our media just makes me sick, Limbaugh and the right wing idiots spew and the so-called mainstream media clean the worst of the filth off and go with it. Disgusting. The good part is that without going full racist, and in admitting this was old news, CNN managed to create the most confusing mess of a non-story I've ever heard. I seriously doubt anyone who heard it that wasn't a 'bagger or a birther would not pay it any attention, it just wasn't worth trying to figure out what they were getting at.

(53,918 posts)The repugs are desperate because they see it slipping away. This election was their last chance, as that party is presently constituted, to win a national election. Before they've been able to fool enough people to vote against their own economic interests but more people have wised up and now know the repugs are out to gut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, mortgage interest deductions, county and state tax deductions, and on and on while they cut taxes for the rich. They only have themselves to blame, and Romney picking Lyin' Ryan as his running mate just confirmed in many voters minds what they're out to do as he's known for wanting to give people measly little vouchers instead of Medicare. The other thing is that the country's voting population is browning more and more each year and the repugs are known to be the "white party", and that doesn't include progressive whites who are mostly dems. If the repugs can't change their horrible policies and image to attract some people of color it's ROP repugs. Welcome to being just a regional party that can't win national elections.

(20,631 posts)when the news of Obama's re-election becomes official, as he's at least smart enough to know that he actually gains relevance (with the baggers, which is really all that matters to him) when Democrats are in power.

(41,991 posts)Worst thing that could happen to him would be having to back up the epic fail that would be a Romney administration. With luck that blood vessel is wearing thinner and thinner the more he howls.

(129,608 posts)which is why they quit dog-whistling and pulled out the racist megaphone. The rest of the country still hasn't gotten over the "47%" comment and are now hearing about Lyin' Ryan's "30%" comment, so Limpballs' and the rest of the scum (including the Conservative News Network) is being tuned out by everyone but what is left of their base.

It's always worked well for them in the past. Hate and ignorance is what they are all about.
