on Rev. Al's show just now. Compared to her last performance on his show. She just said "she is beyond her breaking point now."

(31,234 posts)her a chance to recover her composure, but that one Gallup poll she was clinging to, was obviously an outlier. I think the next day, Gallup showed Obama up by +6.

(36,418 posts)That isn't saying much, but you have to feel for the woman being on the wrong side of history most of the time.

(25,415 posts)I will give her that. Or at least I can tolerate her better.
Meghan is only 27. I can give her this advice: she is in the wrong party. Repubs will never have a place for someone like her. If not for Daddy she would most likely be a Democrat. She is pro choice and pro gay rights. I doubt she likes the tea party aspect of the party all that much but continues to repeat the party over practiced lines. Maybe she will eventually leave the Repub party when Daddy John is no longer around.

(36,418 posts)What a terrible burden to bear as a child of McCain. She has my sympathies.

(13,081 posts)I think that many, if not most, Republicans would vote for Democrats, or at least be less conservative than the teabaggers. It's just something they learn from birth. I think most people, if you ask them about individual issues divorced from party politics, come down on the side of Democrats, because the Democratic portion is usually A) the fair position and B) the common sense position.
We're not born hating gays or blacks or Muslims or atheists or whomever; we're not born wanting to drop bombs on women and children and call it justice; we're not born with fear and hatred of anything different; we learned from a very early age that sharing is a good thing, and that the kid with the most has to share a little more than the kids with nothing. All that conservative bullshit has to be learned, and, worse, taught.

(41,984 posts)She said several times that they haven't gotten their pitch down to 140 words, which is all the American people can understand. Essentially she thinks they need a better elevator pitch so we won't get all confused or bored.
Seriously? With our futures at stake?
