Ryan: I Didn’t Explain Tax Math Because People Would Change The Channel

Ryan: I Didn’t Explain Tax Math Because People Would Change The Channel

Paul Ryan defended his refusal to go into the specifics of Mitt Romney's tax plan during a Sunday interview, saying on Monday that he likes Fox News host Chris Wallace too much to turn off his viewers by talking math.

“I like Chris,” Ryan told Wisconsin radio host Charlie Sykes Monday, via the Washington Post. ”I didn’t want to get into all the math of this because everybody would start changing the channel.”

Ryan also said that the Obama campaign is mischaracterizing the plan. “When you’re offering very specific bold solutions confusion can be your enemy’s best weapon,” Ryan said.

During a Sunday interview, Ryan declined to discuss any math behind Romney's tax plan, saying, "It would take me too long to go through all of the math."

The media pundits who are still pretending that Mitt and Mini Mitt have any credibility are delusional.

they are just going to do what W did and give huge tax cuts without thinking about or caring where that money will come from.

Something, anything that explains how cutting taxes will magically sprout 12m jobs and bring back the unicorn herd.

When it comes to taxes, Republicans always throw out the laws of supply & demand. In their universe, tax cuts cause employers to hire regardless of demand, and the resulting oversupply somehow creates a healthy demand for their product.

If a CEO ever ran the human resources dept based on their overall tax percentage, a VP can be expecting a promotion soon. Imagine if a business is booming and the marginal tax rate increased so the boss lays off half the workforce. I suppose they'd have to tell customers to go elsewhere until taxes come down.

Ryan is full of total BS and how he earned the ultra intelligent rep he has from the MSM is beyond me. I could get pretty charts too and pretend to bullshit about them in front of tv. What he does is nothing special.
