Decent Americans generally get it by now: if a Republican is saying it, it probably does not pass the smell test.

Now the Republicans need to get it: You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Queerly, it was, I believe a Republican who said that. Long long ago, well before the current crop of deviants caused such pathetic degeneration in the GOP.

and his band of fools received. When even the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff criticized the Swiftboat Sillies they decided to shut up. Of course, we still have five weeks to go before the election, they could raise their ugly little heads again.

6. Contemporary consequences

Nixon has sicced those Swiftboat idiots against Kerry decades ago. The war was still current enough that the BS didn't affect him. He thought he had dealt with it but the distance of the years and the backing of those long retired rats made them invulnerable.

Obama's operation was open, presented without GOP glamor and totally supportive of the soldiers(extrat helicopter). Fresh. Everyone knows. Obama fought back wisely. Contemporary military people backed him up and those rats still inside started getting trapped.

But much worse, the trolls they had to dig up are STILL in the military where the consequences for such fun and games are just and very real. They are probably scurrying for reassurances and payoffs and a future career where there is none. That is why it failed on all levels.

In all cases the media generally laid back to see what damage could be done to the Democrats like cops watching goons beat up peaceful protestors.

The current GOP is always hitting repeat buttons with impunity. Getting mad when they don't produce the same results. This what getting spoiled and incompetent gets you when the only people you have around you are self-entitled moral defects.
