We need to be better prepared regarding GOP tricks

We were not informed well enough and not active enough in the runup to trump’s presidency in terms of the groundwork that the GOP was laying. The lack of fed judge confirmations should have had half the country up in arms. The KNEW what they were doing and the KNEW that they would have a candidate in the white house to fill those positions. When it came to Garland we should have had pitchforks and clubs because that was criminal.

We need to be watching what tricks they are laying with McConnell in leadership role again if that holds. I will not sleep on the job this time around.

I wouldn't call what the GOP does "tricks." BKDem Nov 2020 #1

IMO, giving Repubs the "benefit of the doubt" should never happen. They can't be trusted. nt woodsprite Nov 2020 #4
Agreed. They need to be looked at as a criminal enterprise. SlogginThroughIt Nov 2020 #6

But you are exactly right. It is criminal what they have done and how they operate. Regardless of which word is used as a descriptor we need a more proactive approach to what they do that is well beyond people like us here. There are groups and networks now to influence and educate people more now than ever.

Winning the presidency is the start. Not the end of this battle.

Over half the states are a lost cause. When a decent man like Doug Jones can lose to Tuberville by a 2-1 margin, then you know we really need to be two countries. A governor that physically assaulted a reporter?

They don't care about lawless behavior so long as they get what they want.

I am not discounting what you are saying about the possibility of splitting the country but short of that there needs to be more information to the electorate about what is happening when it happens. I would say the majority of folks still ave no clue about why or how or even that there were 200 federal judges that they held back.

In fact they think it is great because they are sticking it to the liberals.

My friends from high school in Mississippi know Hyde-Smith is awful, but they still supported her over Espy. These are all college educated folks as well.

My own state Iowa just reelected Joni Fucking Ernst by 6+ points for God's sake.
