But even this is more of a whine than a point, because he never really says what should have been done differently, or what should be done differently going forward.
Should there have been no bank bailout? Oops, he was in favor of that, too. Extended tax cuts? Oops, Obama already did that. Let Detroit go bankrupt? Sure, that's going over well - I dare Mitt to say that again. We shouldn't have passed Obamacare, which is really just Romneycare???
No, Mitt's only real policy difference with Obama is that there should have been no $800 billion stimulus bill - so basically his position is that we should have bailed out the banks, but not the public. Nice. Typical 1%-er. Good luck with that on Wednesday, Mitt.

It was unconscionable how they cut unemployment extensions knowing full well that there were not jobs to funnel these people into. Their view: Too bad there are five or six people for every available opening. It's still YOUR fault.

(31,706 posts)...is that he's not FOR anything other than the rich. He's AGAINST everything else. Find an issue and he's gonna be against it...but with NO real alternative other than word salad platitudes. This has been his biggest problem all campaign long...it's he wants people to vote against President Obama rather than for him. This is well and good with the great unhinged who weren't going to vote for the President, but once you get to the rest of the "47%" then the talking points just aren't cutting it.
The backstory on this election is how, when confronted with a defining moment in the campaign, the Stench has made the worst possible moves. He's still trying to win the rushpublican nomination...more worried about what the unhinged will say than the independents and moderates who are the ones who swing elections.
This truly is the Seinfeld candidate...
