If you haven't volunteered for Obama and down ballot candidates give it a try!!!! Spoke with a whole lot of Obama supporters and they are soooooo pumped to be voting for Obama.... Most of the people I spoke with while phone banking were going to be early voting or absentee voting here in Florida. Made so many phone calls my ear hurts!!!! and only occasionally got a crank (why are they so angry???). The rest were sweet and pleasant. I'm going back during the week and next Saturday as well. The more the merrier!!

2. Door to door canvassing feels particularly neighborly. People seem to actually

appreciate an introduction to local candidates about whom they usually know very little. They frequently want to talk about what is going on in their lives, issue wise. It's nice to get such a good concrete grounding in your community.

17. Be sure to help in getting a group together to take people to the polls

With Rising gas price and people needing help to get to the polls to vote put up meetup groups for people to make it to the polls. Take as many people as can to the poll that normally can't get there. GET OUT THE VOTE go the next phase get them to vote not just say they are voting.
