Why do babies go all stiff as soon as Willard touches them?

Seems like President Obama doesn't have this but most every baby kissin' politician has their share of cranky and uncooperative babies, but it seems like just the presence of Willard in the room makes them go all stiff.

Any ideas why?

He never holds them but for a second. So the baby is just being handed around.

Conversely President Obama holds them a while or plays with them a little. I recall the one with the little guy who was really happy, thrashing his legs about while the President held him up!

Most of the pics I've seen of him with babies, they're screaming their heads off.

That 1st pic the baby looks like he's thinking, "HEEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!!" real hard.

And I wish I could find the pic of Romney in a classroom with a bunch of kids. They all look like they just got reamed out and are in detention or about to take a test or something. He looks as miserable in that pic as they do.

It's such a total contrast with Pres O and kids of any age....
