So when Republicans want a President who will run America 'like a business', what does that mean?

Run it like how George W. Bush ran it, the last businessman President?

Run it like one of those businesses that sends all it's jobs overseas?

Run it like one of those businesses that puts all it's money in a Swiss bank account or in the Cayman Islands?

Run it like Enron?

Run it like the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory?

Run it like the Krusty Krab?

Run it like a business that runs into the ground, gives all the people at the top millions of dollars, but tells the rank-and-file 'tough luck and you're trespassing'?

It sounds harsh but it is true, the power is all concentrated at the top and the workers are not allowed to go against the decisions of the CEO.

No dissent is allowed. The people do not get a vote unless it is for the dictator. The consequences for disloyalty are very harsh.

The average working and middle class Republican thinks it means that Republicans will cut out waste and deadwood, bring efficiency.

To the Republicans who actually control the party (corporate CEOs, inherited wealth holders like the Kochs, the Chamber of Commerce, etc.), it means that America will be run "for" business, not "like" it. Jobs need to go overseas to reduce costs for business? Fine. Detroit needs to go bankrupt? You bet. Their bank accounts and the money god say so.

All joking aside, this seems like a good comparison. Mr. Krabs is always the butt of "cheap" jokes, and we've all heard through the personal narratives how cheap Mitt is even as he has more money than he could ever need. I never understood how people think being a businessman qualifies him to be president, as a business and a government are two completely unrelated entities. That's like saying a coach of a basketball team could make a good coach for a football team just because he's a good leader.

1 - Employees (citizens) will require an RFID badge to move about the campus (country).
2 - Employee (citizen) network activity, and in particular social networking, will be heavily monitored.
3 - Union activity is strictly prohibited.
4 - Pay and benefits will be curtailed regularly to "increase stockholder value".
