We hear that the polls showing Obama with a good lead are skewed.
These early polls do not take into account the votes that will not be counted due to voter disenfranchisement, and the purged voter rolls the republicans are hard at work on.
And these polls don't take into the fact the way votes are counted; in secret, by computers joined at the hip to republican 1%ers who will steal votes.
So.... take it as a measure of truth what Faux and Rove are saying: Today's polls are skewed for the actual count, not what the count will be when Rove gets done messing around.

(147 posts)All these genius democrats (and I mean it sincerely) would have pay/ed attention to the stench right under their noses. It's the same way someone as smart as Gore could "lose" to someone as dumb as Bush.
#1. Underestimating the depths the Republicans will go to win and what they are/were willing to do.
#2. Overestimating the intelligence of their fellow Americans. (-"I'd rather have a Beer with GWB."
-"All Gore said he invented the internet. OH THE HORROR!" "well they'll have to see that Bush avoided Vietnam while I went to war and was highly decorated. Surely they won't buy these swift boat adds? It would defy logic." thought John Kerry to himself).

(13,685 posts)You get it. The R's will stop at nothing. Yes, they do conspire to steal elections. DUH! They do not have a sense of fairness. They lie, they cheat and they steal.
They do conspire. It is a conspiracy.

(37,648 posts)So far, there have been lawsuits filed in Ohio and TX. They've stopped them temporarily in both, but of course TX will vote Republican, anyway, so no new voter ID laws affects mainly the state and local races, where Dems can win.
Not sure what's going on in PA about voter ID suppression.

(13,685 posts)I think it has to do with the fact that really bringing it up and acting on the problem would tend to indict themselves as co-conspirators?
As far as I can tell, they are just duped into believing that since Dems don't go all out to steal votes, the republicans don't either? Otherwise I'm a blind buck.
