Biden/Harris are going to win on Nov. 3. Thats pretty obvious to anyone who is paying attention. In addition, chances are very high that the Democratic Party will control the Senate in 2021. That means that Mitch The Turtle McConnell will become Minority Leader in the next Senate. That job is no fun, and I am fairly certain that he doesnt want it.
But he cant retire. Assuming he beats Amy McGrath this year, which is almost, but not entirely certain, he will be the powerless Minority Leader in an energized Democratic Senate. He will hate the job, and he will want to retire, but, because Kentucky has a Democratic Governor, Andy Beshear, McConnell wont be able to retire without giving another Senate seat to the Democrats.
I hope he says, F-it, and retires anyway. I am sure that he is not looking forward to his impending demotion.

(32,017 posts)Dollars to doughnuts thats blood clotting from COVID-19. Its a well-documented symptom. The clots are usually first apparent on the lower legs, but they can spread to the feet, lower arms, and hands. The swelling we see in those photos often accompanies the blood clots. Its probably not lethal, but it is necrotic, and we have no idea how long it lasts.
