ok, so a few weeks ago I had asked how to handle abortion protesters, and got some great answers.
My appointment was at 9:15 am this morning and as we pulled into the road there were the typical protest signs up, but no protesters. My appointment went well, and the staff was incredible. This was not an easy decision for me and my husband to make, but the smartest one we could make.
We (a friend went with me, hubby couldn't take the time from work) were leaving around 12pm, and across the street were two men holding pics and signs - I was expecting to hear all sorts of nasty words thrown at us and to my surprise they yelled "have a good day!" My friend and I waved and said the same back. As we rounded the corner there were two more protesters - men in their 70's would be my guess - sitting in lawn chairs with signs. No words from them.
Now, I know this is not typical, but if one is going to protest I'd rather they did it peacefully with out scaring the crap out of people. Perhaps it's different on other days, but they were peaceful and polite. Made my head spin a bit.

now, not only do we bring friends for support, but for protection as well. Sad how things have changed.
