I gave to a politician, one of my favorites. Not much but you know every little bit helps. It makes me feel good in doing that too. I've got a grand daughter who has to live in this world for hopefully years on down the road and for her I did this. To me it couldn't be any clearer as to who is the right person to guide us into the near future. When you read about the accomplishments Obama's made in spite of the republicans it will make your head swim. On that note it was the same pretty much with Carter and with Clinton. I remember watching President Clinton on TV and they were talking about all he was able to accomplish, (not all I liked as is the case with this President today,) without one republican vote, he held up his finger and looked in the camera and said let me reiterate, Not one republican vote. These three people, Clinton first, actually Carter first, Clinton second and President Obama is the kind of people I want to be my President. Knowing full well a President can't do all things for all people as there is many sides to all issues.
Anyways I feel like I have done something in the way forward now other than just the promise of my vote. dm

(11,415 posts)probably go out and walk again for Obama. I supported Kerry with yard signs and talked up Gore and Clinton, but I was never really involved like with our current Pres. Of course I never have missed a national and rarely missed a local note. After barely making it through the Bush nightmare and seeing the rise of radical ignorance I felt the country needed my input and I needed to do what I could to save my family and myself from endless war and an abandon of reason.
It' is so important that we give what we can to support Obama over Romney. It's our future!
