If Trump steals the election, how long before the book burnings begin?

Actually, I'm not sure how many people still read books. So today's version of book burning will be revoking the licenses of any and all TV and radio stations that Trump doesn't like. And all online liberal sites, such as DU, will be banned by some "executive order." Also, some reason will be found to shut down newspapers that are considered to be aiding an abetting the enemy. (Psst, we're the enemy.)

Anyone who doesn't see fascism becoming the norm if Trump manages to steal the White House, is blind, ignorant beyond repair, or dead.

He's already told us how he plans to steal it. And if, by some chance, this election ends up before the SCOTUS, who do you suppose will be appointed president?

Our democracy is on the edge of a cliff and no one really knows how it will end. All we can do at this moment is vote. And if he succeeds in stealing it, what we do in the long run is up to all of us. And we'll have to do far more than just bitch about it.

The Holocaust didn't happen overnight. Torchlight rallies and book burnings were the start. Then came the persecution of minorities. And then came the camps, the gas chambers and the ovens. Anyone who really believes "It can't happen here" is a fool.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Admittedly, only one of the R's I know does.

Also, I read mostly on my kindle (like 99%). I read an actual paper book yesterday and I kept hitting the page to turn it. That did not work.

But I do read over 300 books a year, both fiction and nonfiction. I bet a lot of Democrats still read.

They will have to pry my Kindle from my cold, dead hands.
