(25,989 posts)Given trump can't seem to respect the norms of debates by being quiet when it isn't his turn, he's destroyed that norm as well. The debate committee or whoever runs it should just lay down the law to anyone participating in presidential debates going forward: when it isn't your turn, your microphone will not be on. Done. It's the only way to deal with his nonsense.

(112 posts)Set a rule. Only one mic on at a time. When allowed speaking time ends, the mic goes silent. If trump won't agree, let Joe appear alone with a free air time question and answer venue.
