The cards were stacked against him in terms of rules and moderation. Wallace was alright but there needed to be two moderators at least, really more to hold back the bully-in-chief. Also Case Western, a military university? But notwithstanding Trump had nothing to say except to his base who are probably as aware as we are that he's a lying sack of sh#t but like him for it.
So I don't see it moving the needle either way, but at least Trump can't gloat about scaring off his opponent like he would have if Biden had very sensibly refused. So on that score at least we come out ahead. . .
