I moved to a different county so had to. The women in the office were very pleasant; there were 3 other citizens in there (so much for voter registration day; it was a bit past lunchtime). Know what I got? A slip of paper with the address of where I should vote. I was told I'd be on the rolls but it would take 4-6 weeks to get the official registration card because they're behind, so may not receive anything official prior to 6 November.
Do you think I should worry?
Since I had been registered in a neighboring county, no one asked me for anything, including any form of ID.
Kinda weird.

(21,642 posts)Will you be able to vote a provisional ballot? If so, how do they handle the "validate the provisional ballot within 2 days" thing?

(171,075 posts)to do some checking. I'm feeling uncomfortable b/c it'd be so easy for someone to tell me I'm not eligible, and on election day, who'd help me?

(90,775 posts)So you can check your status in your county. Give it a day or two.
If you don't get the card in time, make sure you have 2 forms of picture ID for the polls. Just to be sure.
