Barack Obama was a reasonable man.

To be fair, a Black man with any modicum of thuggery in him would never have made it as far as Obama. Black non-conformists scare white people. And unlike George W. Bush, who was a hapless Tupperware container filled with his family’s leftover privilege, Obama didn’t have a bona fide gangster who had his back like Vice President Dick Cheney. Barack didn’t have a crew who was willing to knuck at any potential sign of buckery like senior adviser Karl “Ride-or-Lie” Rove, Donald “Da Desert Stormer” Rumsfeld, Attorney General John “the Mass Incarcerator” Ashcroft and even Condoleeza “Gangsta Boo” Rice.

And, as a reasonable man with a Democratic Party averse to tearing da club up, when it came time for Obama to appoint a Supreme Court justice in 2016, instead of engaging in a political knife-fight with the Republican Party, he instead nominated Merrick Garland, a reasonable, affable white man with a mouth and toes and a judicial record that was as moderate as it was unremarkable.

As soon as Machiavellian Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell obstructed Garland’s nomination, outraged progressives begged Obama to pull out the chopper and make a recess appointment. But Obama responded with reason, avoiding a heated court battle in the federal courts that weren’t packed with Obama appointees even though the Democratic Party controlled the Senate six of Obama’s eight years in office (Harry Reid, finally invoked the nuclear option in late 2013, giving Obama one year to appoint federal judges).

Agree.

Firstly, you cannot reason with people who don't care about fatso MURDERING over 204 K and rising people, and who now says that Covid-19 doesn't affect anybody.

Secondly, You cannot reason with people in thuglicans who are 'okay' with fatso getting rid of the ACA in total during this pandemic, when he/they don't and never have had anything to replace it with.

Thirdly, you cannot reason with asses who don't CARE if tRump appoints a Handmaiden Tale Judge to help them steal a 2nd election because Biden kicks his fat ass. They're also 'okay' if he throws away ballots of vets, throws folks off of voting rolls, and who also feels that they can maybe stop the voting process if he gets to 270 on election night THEY DON'T GIVE ONE DAMN PEOPLE. NOT ONE if your vote is thrown away, or never counted

Somebody tell me how you can reason with rotten, dirty, filthy, treasonous asses who sit by while tRump commits murder and who ignores those who are DYING/DEAD?

5. There was nothing Pres Obama could have done due to the law; "thugs" or not.

He would have just made himself look like a fool with losing court battles & he knew he was above that. He knew the LAW. Whether we like it or not, and we didnt, the law allowed McConnell to do exactly what he did just as it does now.

But the hypocrisy of his decision should be brought out daily and hammered home. Show him as the liar that he is.

7. I agree...

because President Obama was our elected leading official. We the people are the rulers of this land, and although the rethug party has done all it can to convince us otherwise, we are in charge. it is up to us to do something about it. I agree that this decision should be 'hammered home', but we already knew the walking Halloween costume was a liar and a weasel, and he still got 'elected'. So, again, I ask... what are you prepared to do?

8. I'm prepared to go vote in person to take away the "fraud" argument.

I want the margin of victory so large election night that even if ALL mail ins were for trump he'd still lose. End of story. Then theres NOTHING he can contest. And as Biden says, he will leave office one way or another.
I want a repeat of 1984. Wont happen, but it sure would be nice.
