Will we go off the fiscal cliff?

Or will the two Parties reach a compromise after the election?

What type of compromise will they reach? Will the compromise be worse the fiscal cliff?

the administration is going to give away some Social Security and Medicare benefits in order to make a compromise on the budget.

...session to fix the problem, then they can pass progressive tax cuts that still tax the rich at a greater amount, the republicans can say they didn't raise taxes as per their deal with the devil and everything returns to basically normal, forcing the hand-wringers to move on to the next topic.
