Your post went from clever to rude with a single word.

You may not be aware of it, but it is actually quite rude to suggest that Ann Coulter is a lesbian (or, as many do, transgender) - not because there is anything wrong with being lesbian or transgender but because the connection is drawn in a way that suggests there is something wrong with being lesbian or transgender.

She's a nasty piece of work, but suggesting that she is anything but a nasty piece of work is an attempt to 'other' her in a way that denigrates the group you are associating her with.

Think about it. If you wrote:

"Coulter is a Borg" - Borgs are bad, so we know Coulter is bad
"Coulter is a demon" - demons are bad, so we know Coulter is bad
"Coulter is a bug-eyed alien" - presumably, bug-eyed aliens are bad, so we know Coulter is bad

You did write:

"Coulter is from Kolob" - Presumably this mythical planet from the Mormon teachings is bad (I'm not even going to get started on this one. . . )
"Coulter is from Hades" - The Underworld. Hell. Traditionally a bad place, so if she comes from there, she must be bad

Now, insert an allusion (and please don't pretend you didn't know what you were doing when you wrote it):

"Coulter is from Lesbos" - Lesbos is the island off of Greece that has a historical reputation for powerful women who may have taken other women as lovers. It's where we get the word "lesbian".

Under the conditions of your post, the inference that must be drawn is that people from "Lesbos" are bad.

You took a semi-tactless post and made it worse with the edit. Maybe you could try again and focus on the person instead of relying on drawing associations that only make you look thoughtless.
