if Ryan wants to run for national office again, he’ll probably have to wash the stench of Romney off

Craig Robinson, the former executive director of the Iowa Republican Party, told the New York Times this week: “I hate to say this, but if Ryan wants to run for national office again, he’ll probably have to wash the stench of Romney off of him.” http://www.salon.com/2012/09/25/could_romney_take_ryan_down_with_him/

It's nice of the Repubs to get an early start on the process of assigning blame for Romney's impending loss.

Romney muzzled him. If he had been allowed to be the real Ryan they would have won the election.

recovered politically from being associated with the failed Dole-Kemp team despite the fact that he was the economical-far-right-wing's hero when he was chosen to boost the enthusiasm from the base which was depressed by the nomination of moderate Bob Dole.

It is a pretty interesting analogy.
