Joe Scum desperate to turn Barack Obama in to Jimmy Carter

This is what they are down to, this is their only fight. Try and make people think Barack Obama is Jimmy Carter II the saddest part of that argument is it means the Rethugs are rooting for more Americans to get killed and things to get worse in the Middle East. This is obviously where you go when you have no ideas and nothing to offer the American people. The worst part is the media will not confront Romney or anyone on this

President Carter was right in so many ways. I so wish the Dems would promote his legacy as the repukes do Raygun. imho

Never has one man been blamed so much for the problems left to him by his Republican predecessors.

He dealt with a shitstorm but never got the credit for it, only the Republicans piling on to get Regan in.

I don't even remember Carter's Presidency. I think he is a decent man but bringing up 1980 has no major relevance for a lot of us. I hear about it ad nauseam too. There are two whole generations voting in this election that don't dwell on what happened in 1980 and don't think of Democrats as being weak on foreign policy. Just like Vietnam and the 2004 election. Just, get over and past it already. No President is just like another President.

5. Exactly! This is such an obvious ploy to get the last remnants of voters over the age of 55

to be swayed to voted for Mitt! It is mind boggling to me why these Republicans even TRY this! My only guess is that it is pure desperation on their part.

When Joe and Mika interviewed Bill Clinton this morning he drew a comparison for Joe, as if he had seen this argument coming. If you didn't see it, you can get it on MJ web page. Joe fumbled badly bringing this up to Clinton. Joe looked like a whiny baby as Clinton smilingly took him apart...

I guess it is an appeal to a certain age group and designed to make them associate Carter with Obama. But for anyone say under 45 we have no bad feelings, negative thoughts on Carter. I think of Carter as an elder statesmen and his work on human rights.

My kids are in their 40s and they never talk about Carter. Why should they, in the context of this presidential election?

Bill Clinton in a very calm way tore down every argument like a school teacher, leaving Joe looking really desperate-which is what he is.

I think he should stay away from holding up W as being terrific on foreign policy, considering the cost of that policy to this country...it is a weak straw to try to pull...and earlier Mika asked him straight out if he thought Obama had been weak on foreign policy. Nailed him right there!
