On "The View" you have described yourself as a "pro-life Republican." I take you at your word and respect your right to hold and espouse your political view on the show. As a young Republican media figure, you are in a position of advocacy for the Republican Party.
I would like to know your view on the delivery of health care in this country. As you know, the USA is the only country in the world whose government does not cover health care, of one design or another, to all of its citizens. President Obama's Affordable Care Act sought to address that lack. Our ranking in the benchmark of infant mortality was improving under the Affordable Care Act. If the protections in that legislation is removed, what do you think will happen to low income American women (in particular women of color) and their babies?
Do you hold the current view of the Republican Party that calls for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which currently covers people with pre-existing conditions, and has not come up with its own plan. Why are you not demanding this from your party?
You are a young leader of this party, with which you identify yourself, and which you represent on "The View." I look forward to a full debate, in which you will participate after your return from maternity leave. If you do not return to the show, but remain as a spokeswoman for your party, what do YOU believe should happen to those Americans who are as deserving of health care as you are but are not as well off?
Sincerely,
JH

Yes, I am on a rant about this woman who proclaims to hold up her Republican Party's side of the arguments on The View. For obvious reasons, she cannot tolerate Donald Trump, yet she attacks those who confront her with "those are not the views of your late father." OK, Megan, I didn't. But I hold you responsible for defending YOUR view on "The View."

(63,912 posts)I'm not entirely sure she will return to The View, due to stress.
Who will they get to represent the repuke side?
I know, that Guilfoyle woman who ranted at the RNC...

(63,912 posts)That's all you think? You don't hold your party responsible for a sensible answer to our health care situation in this country? Why do you think you are on that show, in the first place?"

I hope to god she remembers how Joe Biden came on the show and cradled her in his arms as she cried over losing her dad. I hope she votes for him, then comes on the View and talks about her conversion. And I really hope becoming a mother helps enlighten her to more social responsibility. We are all in this together.
NOTE: I became an activist against the Vietnam War when my son was 3 years old and I became alarmed at the prospect that that ware could go on until he was eligible for the draft (that was then). It changed my life forever.

(102,343 posts)keep coming through, even when Megan occasionally tries to divorce herself from Trump and sound more moderate. If you don't know who Ben Domenech is, haven't become aware of his "Federalist" Radio show and online publication "the Federalist," then google or listen to Rick Wilson and Molly Jong-Fast (or other progressive commentators who follow/expose RW BS)
I surely had issues with her father, but I did respect him. Megan is a F'ing narcissistic, selfish, self-oblivious mouthpiece. Her husband is what he has always been-- an exploitative and very dishonest RW a'hole. There is at least some "honesty" in the consistency.

(63,912 posts)then it is her responsibility to answer the questions I ask. If she won't answer, she should back right off of the public debate.

(102,343 posts)While Megan is trying to come off as more moderate. I never implied-- nor would I-- that she is honest in any manner. The comment was made in creating contrast with her husband who is deplorable but admits it.

(63,912 posts)she can't be a public RW asshole like her husband because she would then be too far right for the show and that would end a lucrative career.
Maybe she'd like a little cheese with that whine...

(102,343 posts)already left HIM. He at least stayed true to some of his core beliefs. I honestly don't think Megan holds any such "core" beliefs except the standpoint of what she thinks she must continually echo in order to stamp her "conservative" card.

Your description of her is exactly what she is.
