he knows that many of his supporters read poorly (like Trump) and can't (or won't) follow the instructions for mail-in ballots. That could cause many of his supporters' ballots to be rejected due to errors.
I encourage everyone to take time to read the instructions carefully, and follow them precisely. That way, you won't make the mistakes stupid Trump voters will make.

(40,231 posts)Mail-in ballots have a layer of security that does not exist in the in person voting booth. Failing to read the instructions, reading them incorrectly, or simply misunderstanding them can easily lead to a vote being rejected.
Trump has a very low opinion of his supports and probably does think they are too stupid to successfully cast a mail-in ballot.

Also in previous years it is the republicans that have taken more advantage of mail in ballots so that argument is gone. My take, it is far more difficult for the russians to manipulate the count if done by mail in, there is a paper trail and he does not want that paper trail, it will not help him in court when he calls the election rigged.

(18,662 posts)but the common wisdom is that when more people vote, democrats win. There are multitudes more dems than republicans in this country, the problem is, they don't vote. Making it easier to cast a vote puts dems in office.
