Small question about E. Jean Carroll lawsuit.

" Carroll is seeking to take the president's deposition and force him to provide a DNA sample from a dress she claims she was wearing at the time of the alleged attack."

How can he provide a DNA sample from one of her dresses? A typo, I assume?

Also, why is she suing for defamation instead of rape?

1. Probably just an inartful way of trying to say she wants a DNA sample

to match the sample from her dress. She can't sue for the rape because the statute of limitations has run.

2. To buttress her claim, she wants his DNA so she can match it with his "stain" on

the dress she was wearing on the day he attacked her. That would prove she was telling the truth and he was lying. (The lie was that he said that she was lying.)

3. Not well written. She kept the dress...never wore it again...which is stained with sperm.

She needs a Trump saliva swab to show the stain is from him. I wish we had a patriot in the White house kitchen who would collect a glass or spoon and send it for analysis.

or perspiration.

For a civil suit (preponderance of the evidence) - not criminal (beyond reasonable doubt) if you get a DNA match from a bible Trump signed that matches the sperm on her dress, Trump has a significant problem trying to argue he shouldn't have to provide a DNA sample to clear the matter up. And the media can go wild with it.

There's all kinds of stuff he's signed that might have a trace of his DNA.

Naturally, a water glass or eating utensils could probably provide a better sample.

With DNA, if you get a lab to lift DNA from such a sample and it matches the stuff on her dress, it's a BIG problem for Trump. They may well have already done so and are waiting with the October surprise.

8. The problem is that many people's DNA are very likely to be on such items

Though I suppose if you find a judge that can be convinced to order Trump to provide a proper sample based on DNA on some random item ... that's all that really matters.

a press conference ...

Gotta be some doped up DNA in there !!

or a water bottle he tosses on the golf course ..

Maybe they could get some DNA from a government document he signs. There would be some sort of custody for that.
